American University Beirut
As a University professor, I am appalled to see education becoming so tainted. I read this on mblog.com, and then went to the web site for both this American University Beirut and their Alumni Association.
The web site for this Alumni looks like a shell, quite strange!!
Does American University Beirut think everyone is stupid?? This President Machnouk is listed on their web site, he is listed as a member of the board of trustees, he is the alleged president of "Alumni Association of American University Beirut" and the "University of Beirut" and the University has the unmitigated gall to say they have no control over them. Taxes not paid, Social Security never notified, how can they insult everyone's intellegence? I have never read of such a sham in education in all my years involved in higher education. The University giving their Alumni 2 million dollars is the most absurd thing I have ever heard of. American University owes this gentleman not only a large sum of money, they owe him an apology!!
